Privacy policy
Who we are
Clarum (tryclarum.com) is a profit analytics product for TikTok Shop sellers, operated by its founder while the operating company is formed; the company will be named here before any paid plan goes live. This policy says what data Clarum handles, why, where it lives, and how to get it deleted. It is written to be read, and the short version is simple: Clarum exists to compute your numbers for you, and that is the only thing your data is used for.
What Clarum collects
- Account data. Your name, email address, and workspace settings, provided when you sign up.
- Shop data you authorize. Orders, settlement and finance records, and the product catalog from the TikTok Shop you connect. This data is read through TikTok Shop's official APIs, only after you authorize access through TikTok's own flow, and only with read scopes. Clarum never asks for your TikTok password and cannot see it. You can revoke access at any time in TikTok Seller Center.
- Data you enter. Product costs (COGS), shipping-cost overrides, creator sample costs, and similar inputs you upload, type in, or send through the Cost API.
- Early-access requests. If you write to ask for an invite, the email address and the details you volunteer, such as category and order volume, are kept only to manage early access. They are never shared or sold, and are deleted on request.
- Usage data. Which features you use, and basic technical logs, used to operate and improve the product.
TikTok order records can contain buyer identifiers. Clarum replaces them with a per-shop pseudonym at the moment of ingestion, before anything is stored, and never keeps buyer names, addresses or contact details. The pseudonym exists only so Clarum can spot patterns such as repeat refunders across your own orders. Clarum does not display buyer identities, and does not have them to display.
What your data is used for
Computing your profit and loss, reconciling it against your settlement statements, scoring your shop's health, generating your daily brief, and answering your questions. Nothing else. Clarum does not sell your data, does not share it with other customers, does not publish it in any aggregate or database, and does not use it to train machine-learning models.
AI features and your data
Within Clarum, language models format and explain figures that its own profit engine computed; they do not produce numbers themselves. Shop data goes to an AI provider only to generate that text, only in the slice the answer needs, and only under terms that prohibit the provider from training on it.
Where it lives and how it is protected
Clarum runs on Google Cloud Platform in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each shop's data is scoped to its own workspace, and that isolation is enforced at the database layer, not just in application code. Cookies are used to keep you signed in, not for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Service providers
Clarum uses a small number of providers to run the service, and each receives only what its job requires: Google Cloud Platform (hosting and storage), Stripe (payment processing, paid plans only), Resend (transactional email), and AI model providers as described above. None of them is permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Retention and deletion
Shop data is kept while your account is active, because computing trends requires history. Delete your account, or ask us to, and your shop data is deleted within 30 days. If you revoke Clarum's access in TikTok Seller Center, syncing stops immediately and Clarum's tokens are discarded; your imported shop data is deleted within 30 days unless you reconnect, and you can ask for that to happen sooner. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can ask what data Clarum holds about you, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion at any time by writing to [email protected]. Requests are honored within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, account holders are notified by email before the change takes effect, and the date at the top is updated.
